enrollment process

Medical rates are increasing for 2022

Caleres provides a wide range of health care plans to suit your personal needs, including four medical plans, two dental plans, and two vision plans, with the company paying 70% of the cost of medical premiums. Health care costs continue to rise, significantly this year due to the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic. As a result, our medical insurance premiums are increasing approximately 16% for 2022.

New prescription drug vendor

CVS Caremark® will replace Express Scripts as our prescription drug administrator. There is a modification to the specialty drug tier. In addition, you may see differences in which drugs are included in the plan’s formulary (i.e., covered medications) or which pharmacies are considered in- vs. out-of-network. CVS Caremark digital tools make it easy to locate network pharmacies near you and check drug cost and coverage. You’ll be receiving more information from CVS Caremark, including details on how to register at Caremark.com and what to do if you have medications that need to be transferred from Express Scripts to CVS Caremark.

Consumer Plan participants have a new resource for finding high-quality doctors and an incentive for using it

Great news! Finding a high-quality doctor is about to get much easier with new resources from Garner Health. The resources are available at no cost to you and your spouse/domestic partner, and dependent children who are enrolled in the Consumer Plan. If eligible and you use Garner to find a doctor and see that doctor for medical care, Caleres will cover $1,000 of your eligible out-of-pocket medical bills ($2,000 for families) after you pay the first $1,400 ($2,800 for families) of your deductible. This includes X-rays, imaging, surgeries and anything that’s covered by the Consumer Plan. Click here to learn more.

New pregnancy, childbirth and adoption support from BenefitBump

BenefitBump is designed to help you and your family learn about, and use, all of the benefits and programs Caleres offers related to pregnancy, childbirth, and adoption. The Care Navigator will guide you through all of these programs, helping you get the most out of your benefits. Resources are available pre-pregnancy or adoption, during pregnancy or an adoption process, and post-delivery or successful adoption. And, BenefitBump is there for you if things don’t go as planned such as the loss of a baby or complications during an adoption. Click here to learn more.

What happens if I don’t actively Enroll in 2022 benefits?

  • Your healthcare coverage will remain the same in 2022, but your Flexible Spending Account (FSA) and Health Savings Account (HSA) contributions will not continue, as well as your participation in parking/transit FSAs. You must enroll in these plans if you wish to participate in 2022.
  • You won’t have an opportunity to make changes until the next annual open enrollment period, unless you experience a qualified life event (for example, a birth, adoption, marriage or divorce). IMPORTANT! If you experience a qualified life event and want to make changes to your benefits as a result, you must do so within 30 days of the event.
