Disability
How would you pay your bills if you got sick or injured and couldn’t work? Disability coverage can help replace some of your regular pay. Caleres offers two types of disability coverage: short-term and long-term. See the chart below to learn about each coverage type.

*Your LTD benefit is reduced by Social Security and other disability benefits. If you’re disabled before age 60, these payments will continue until you’re no longer disabled or you reach age 65, whichever is earlier. If you’re age 60 or older when you become disabled, see the SPD for a detailed table on length of coverage.
Important Notes:
- For work-related disability, see your Workers’ Compensation benefits.
- Pregnancy and pregnancy-related conditions are eligible for Short-Term Disability benefits just like a disability. Find more info here.
- Continued health insurance while on LTD is available through COBRA for 18 months. You may be able to get 11 more months of coverage if you provide evidence of a Social Security Disability Determination.
