Paid Time Off (PTO)

Eligible associates accrue PTO during the year, and all associates receive paid sick time.

PTO must be used between January 1 of the current year and January 31 of the following year. Unused PTO isn’t paid out at the end of the year or upon termination in most states. View PTO at Termination to see information for your state.

In addition to PTO and paid sick time, Caleres also provides associates with paid holidays during the year. Visit Holidays to see which days Caleres locations are closed.

Paid Time Off

Eligibility

PTO

The following employees accrue PTO during the year based on their years of service:

  • Full-time Retail and Distribution Center associates
  • Corporate Hourly and Corporate Salaried associates regularly scheduled to work 30+ hours per week
  • Corporate Hourly associates regularly scheduled to work 20+ hours per week

Part-time or temporary Retail or Distribution Center associates, on-call associates, and independent contractors are not eligible to accrue PTO benefits, including paid time off days, paid sick days, and paid holidays.

Paid Sick Time

All Caleres associates except Allen Edmonds Manufacturing associates receive paid sick days. You may not roll sick time over into the next calendar year.

Some cities and states require more paid sick time and may have different requirements affecting the accrual, use, carryover and cash-out of sick time. View Paid Sick Time by State and read the PTO policy for your role:
