How would you pay your bills if you got sick or injured and couldn’t work? Disability coverage can help replace some of your regular pay.

Caleres offers two types of disability coverage: Short-Term Disability and Long-Term Disability.

Disability

Short-Term Disability (STD)

STD replaces a portion of your income for 15–180 days. The benefits you receive depend on your role and years of service. View the Short-Term Disability Plan Policy to learn more.

Eligibility

STD is automatically provided at no cost to the following associates:

After six months of employment After one year of employment
  • Full Time and Part-Time Corporate Office
  • Distribution Center Management
  • RDS and DSM
  • Full-time Retail Associates with Famous Footwear, Naturalizer and Sam Edelman
  • Caleres Distribution Center and Allen Edmonds Manufacturing and Allen Edmonds Retail Associates

Long-Term Disability (LTD)

LTD replaces 60% of your pre-disability base monthly earnings, up to $20,000 per month. You and Caleres share the cost of coverage.

Eligibility

All full-time associates are eligible to enroll in LTD coverage as a new hire without a Statement of Health. If you enroll in LTD outside your new hire window, you must submit a Statement of Health form to Reliance.

To calculate the cost of LTD coverage through payroll deductions, complete the LTD rate sheet.

You can cancel LTD coverage anytime by completing the “Decrease or cancel voluntary life, AD&D and/or LTD coverage” form on Dayforce.

For LTD, submit a Leave Request Form to the Caleres Leave Administrator at hrservices@caleres.com or by fax at 314-854-2014.
