Pet Insurance

Get preferred pricing on pet insurance from Nationwide® to be prepared for accidents and illnesses among your furry friends.

You can choose between two coverage options: 50% or 70% reimbursement. Both options have a low $250 annual deductible and can be used with any vet, anywhere.

Adoption Assistance

If you are a full-time associate (regularly working 30 hours or more per week) with at least one year of service, you may be eligible for up to $2,500 for qualified adoption expenses, which include:

  • Adoption agency fees paid to appropriately licensed agencies
  • Court costs
  • Legal fees
  • Travel expenses (including meals, lodging and travel costs)

You may be reimbursed for one adoption in a 12-month period. You will be responsible for any applicable taxes associated with the reimbursement.

How to apply

Complete the Adoption Assistance Reimbursement Request Form or contact HR Services at 1-800-279-4357 within one year of the finalized adoption.

Education Assistance

Our Education Assistance program is designed to help you develop your skills and knowledge so you can take your career to the next level while continuing to contribute to the company’s success.

The program covers eligible tuition and textbook expenses. If accepted into the program, you can receive up to:

  • $5,000 per calendar year for undergraduate classes as part of a degree program or undergraduate certificate program
  • $7,500 per calendar year for graduate classes as part of a degree program or graduate certificate program

Full-time associates who are currently meeting performance expectations are eligible to apply. If you were not with the organization during the last Performance Management cycle or did not complete a performance review, you must have supervisor approval.

How to apply

Submit the electronic form to indicate your intention to participate in the Education Assistance Program.

Once your application has been accepted, complete these steps:

  1. Register for your coursework at an accredited institution that aligns with your career goals at Caleres. This can be an Associate, Bachelors, Master’s degree program or a Professional Certification program, undergraduate or graduate certificate program.
  2. Submit your registration and invoice to Email via:vpofdei@caleres.com at least 45 days prior to the start of the class. If you are registering for coursework toward a certification that is not through a university or college, please contact Amy Hunter. The invoice will be sent to your supervisor for approval.
  3. After applicable course or courses have been completed, submit a copy of your transcript showing your grade to Email via:vpofdei@caleres.com. This must be submitted before you register for additional courses.
  4. Upon graduation or completion of certification, submit a copy of your diploma or certificate to Email via:vpofdei@caleres.com.

Mental Well-being

Calm Health is available at no cost to you and your dependents age 16 or older if you’re covered by a UHC plan (now) or Surest plan (starting Jan. 1, 2025).

It includes online and app-based resources for sleep, meditation and mindfulness. It also offers mental health screenings, self-guided learning, evidence-based content and referrals.
