Make changes to your benefits

Be sure to make any of the following benefit changes within 30 days of the event:

• Add your child to your health, dental and vision benefits. See if your child is eligible.
• Start, stop, increase, or decrease supplemental life insurance for you or your child.
• Change how much you're putting in your flexible spending accounts.

To request changes, go to Dayforce to complete the “Life Event Declaration Form” (Benefits > Forms):

• Provide the required supporting documentation for your qualified event within 30 days.
• You will receive a notification through Dayforce once your request has been approved or denied. If approved, you can make changes to your benefit elections.
• In most cases, any changes you make are effective as of the date of the life event.

Understand your leave options

Short-Term Disability (STD)

Pregnancy and pregnancy-related conditions are eligible for STD benefits, which replace a portion of your income for 15–180 days.

Leaves of absence

These three types of leave are separate and can’t be combined:

• Maternity leave (handled through STD) is for the person physically giving birth.
• Adoption leave is for a parent who is adopting a child.
• Parental leave is available for eligible associates in connection with the birth, adoption, or placement of a foster child.

BenefitBump is available if you are a full-time associate (regularly working 30 hours or more per week) and your family members.

• Plan and apply for leave
• Improve your wellbeing and reduce stress via personalized emotional support

Resources are available pre-pregnancy or adoption, during pregnancy or an adoption process, and post-delivery or successful adoption. BenefitBump is there for you if things don’t go as planned such as the loss of a baby or complications during an adoption.
